On September 30, 2022, the "Pilot Project on Digitalization of Infrastructure and Safety Emergency Response for In-service Trunk Highways" submitted by Yuexiu Transportation was successfully approved in the review organized by the Ministry of Transport.
After rigorous and professional reviews by experts from the Ministry of Transport, the project submitted by Yuexiu Transportation stood out among numerous projects selected from various provinces and cities across the country and became one of the 32 in-service pilot projects for digitalization of trunk highway infrastructure and safety emergency response nationwide. The successful application for this project marks a historic breakthrough for the company in obtaining a scientific research project approval from the Ministry of Transport, and it is also the first time that Yuexiu Transportation has undertaken a national ministerial-level project.
According to the document "Letter on Carrying Out Pilot Work for DigitAlization of Infrastructure and Safety Emergency of In-Service Trunk Highways" (Jiao Gong Bian Zi Han [2022] No. 174) issued by the Ministry of Transport, Yuexiu Transportation adheres to the down-to-earth spirit of "promoting roads with Science and Technology", "being pragmatic and innovative", and "Empowering the Front Line", focusing on the pain points, difficulties and improvement points of the front-line operation of the sections under its jurisdiction. By taking the comprehensive application of science and technology as a means and giving full play to the "mechanical and electrical empowerment of operation" as a handle, we will steadily promote the implementation and blooming of the company's innovative projects, effectively enhancing the safety control, intelligent operation and maintenance, and digital management levels at the front line of the sections under the jurisdiction of Yuexiu Transportation. In 2022, the company's "Early Warning and Rescue" AI platform won the second place in the second Guangzhou State-owned Assets and State-owned Enterprises Innovation Competition.
